The Cotswolds

Case Study Overview

One of the trends in the hospitality sector is the growth of Inns with attractive accommodation in popular areas of the country. For lenders, this asset spans both pub lending and hotel lending and so the proposition should be carefully packaged and presented to lenders to attract the best possible debt terms.

HotelFinance Solution

This asset is a traditional 19th Century Cotswolds Inn, with individually designed bedrooms and a thriving ‘Freehouse’ pub. Located a short walk from the centre of a historic Cotswolds town, HotelFinance secured funding for the acquisition and improvements to the asset during a particularly challenging period when the debt markets were in contraction following the Covid pandemic.

What our client says

“I really appreciated the industry specific experience (hotels and pubs) and expertise that Neil Parry and the HotelFinance team were able to provide in relation to this acquisition. With Neil’s support, we were able to secure a very competitive deal on the senior debt at a challenging time.”
